Una de las cosas de las cuales estoy muy agradecido, es poder trabajar fuera de mi país en la rama que a mi más me hace feliz, y poder fotografiar eventos que sacan sonrisas me llena de felicidad. La primera boda que logro hacer fue aquí en Vancouver, y fue la de Asli con Can.
Para este proyecto, sabía que no iba a tener mucho tiempo debido a que la boda no iba a durar mucho. Me contrataron sólo para un par de horas, por lo que debía tomar eso en cuenta y poder hacer la mayoría de fotos posibles en ese tiempo tan corto. Así mismo, la primera media hora fueron los retratos a los novios, especialmente a la novia.
El atardecer en el muelle tenía la luz perfecta, pero decidí usar un flash externo con softbox para poder iluminar los rostros de ellos y tener la luz del Sol detrás como relleno. El color naranja del Sol y la luz azul del flash dio un sentimiento perfecto a los rostros.
Luego de los retratos, pasamos a la ceremonia y pequeña fiesta dentro del Vancouver Rowing Club, un pequeño lugar con vista hacia la marina, lo suficientemente cómodo para tener a las personas más importantes. Aquí les dejo la pequeña galería con algunas de las fotos del evento. Utilicé un flash externo en cámara para iluminar todo rebotando en el cielo del espacio.

One of the many things that make me proud is being able to work in what I love even whilst being outside of my country. Being able to shoot events that make people happy is one of my passions. The first wedding I am able to do here in Vancouver was Asli’s and Can’s.
For this project, I knew I wouldn’t have that much time to do everything I needed to do, so we had to be very structured. I was hired for a couple of hours in sunset time, in which we had to do most of the photos. That’s why, the first half hour was jammed with the portraits of the bride and groom and the sunset light!
This light was perfect at the docks. We used one external flash light with a softbox to illuminate their faces with the Sun’s light behind as a fill light. The orange tint of the sun plus the blue light of the flash made a great contrast and shaped the scene perfectly.
Just after the portraits we ran into the ceremony and small party at the Vancouver Rowing Club Convention; a small place with the view of the marina. This place was comfortable enough to have a small party with just the right amount of people and close friends and family of the couple. I’ll leave some of the photos of the event. I used an external on-camera flash to illuminate everything by bouncing the light on the ceiling.
