Este pasado lunes 22, hice fotos con Sofi, aka @Soufi.Soft. Nos fuimos para un área de San José bastante concurrida por nosotros los fotógrafos por su variedad de escenarios que producen fondos distintos. Yo siempre en mis fotos trato de alejarme un poco de los ´lugares de moda´, pero creo que aquí, símplemente con variar los ángulos, recortar encuadres y buscar lugares atípicos, podemos encontrar escenarios interesantes y que no se vean re-utilizados.
This past Monday 22nd I had the opportunity to shoot with @Soufi.Soft. We headed to a very known and usually visited place by us photographers because of the variety of scenery that generally make a varied background. I usually tend to move out of the ´popular place´ when I shoot, but here, if you only change the angle, composition, and look for different spots, we get a unique shot.
A pesar de que ella no se lo cree y aún así participado anteriormente en varios cortos de cine, Soufi fácilmente podría estar modelando para alguna que otra marca de ropa. Teniendo el bagaje de actríz, le es fácil entrar en escena con lo que yo le dirigía, y eso es una cualidad que no todos los modelos tienen, al menos al principio.
Even though she doesn’t realize it though she has been part of various short films, Soufi could easily be modeling for some clothing brands if she wanted to! Having the actress background, it is easy for her to get into character as I asked her to do something without thinking of the rest, that is a quality that not many models have, at least when starting out.
Intenté trabajar con reflejos, haciendo de los retratos un poco más interesantes y dando una sensación más de ciudad fría al escenario.
I tried working with different reflections, trying to make each portrait have a different and unique feel, and getting close to a cold scenario.
Ella generalmente la he visto usar looks un poco más simples, y por el tiempo que la he conocido tiene un carácter bastante alegre, positivo y un tanto libre.
In the times I’ve seen her, she usually uses a very simple look with not too many colors, yet has a very positive, happy and a tad bit ‘free’ personality.
Hicimos otros estilos, como el de calle y uno mas colorido. Creo que en poco tiempo y en espacios tan reducidos, se trabajó muy bien en estos aspectos.
We worked with other styles, like street and one way more colorful. I think that in the time we were there and with the little places we found, we made justice to each space!
Soufi tiene un estilo muy europeo, por lo cual el ´frío de la ciudad´ le va muy bien en las fotos.
Espero que les haya gustado esta sesión y definitivamente le doy gracias a Soufi por confiar en mi trabajo. Hoy se va 6 meses a estudiar a Europa, entonces le deseo la mejor de las suertes.
Soufi has a very European look, and that makes her blend easier in a ‘cold street’ environment!
