Trogón Lodge

Los lugares de mi país que yo más disfruto generalmente están en la montaña, esto porque me despeja de todo lo innecesario y puedo realmente estar conmigo mismo. Trogón es de estos lugares.

Soy visitante recurrente de Trogón por todo lo que ofrece. Me saca de un mundo y me hago inmerso en otro donde el tiempo transcurre de forma distinta. Aquí, pienso en las siguientes tomas, pienso en la naturaleza, pienso en levantarme temprano para ir a ver los Quetzales, pienso en el frio delicioso que te hace quedarte en la cama un ratito más.

Son pocos los lugares que me hacen sentir que estoy en una segunda casa, y creo que, dado el servicio, la calidad de las personas y el ambiente acogedor, siempre sentís que estás siendo parte de una gran familia y creo que eso le da un valor agregado inmenso. Además, la comida es espectacular, y no hay nada mejor que ir a un lugar hermoso y poder degustar de platos deliciosos. La mayoría (y si no me equivoco, casi todo), lo producen ellos mismos. Los estanques de truchas hacen de su pesca sostenible y tienen hidroponía para los vegetales y demás alimentos.

El Rio Savegre pasa a su lado, el rio más limpio de nuestro país. Se siente y se escucha a lo lejos. Es de las mejores sensaciones que uno puede experimentar.

Si no han visitado Trogón Lodge, les recomiendo que vayan y vivan la experiencia. No se van a arrepentir.

Generally, the places I enjoy the most are somewhere in the mountaintops. This happens because I can zone out from all things I find unnecessary and I can be at peace with myself. Trogón is just one of those places.

I am a regular visitor of Trogón because of everything that it offers. It takes me out of my world and immerses me into another where time just moves different. Here, I think about many things; like the next shot I want to make, the nature around me, I also think about waking up early just to try and get a glimpse of the Quetzal, I even think about that delicious cold weather that makes you want to stay just a little bit more under the covers of your bed.

There are few places I feel like they are a second home, and I think that given that the service, the quality of the staff, and the cozy ambience, you always feel like you´re part of a big family. This gives great value to such a place. Also, food is SPECTACULAR, and there is no better thing for me than going to a beautiful place and taste amazing food. Almost all of it (and if I recall well, everything), is locally produced. The trout ponds make the place sustainable for fishing and they also work their vegies and such with hydroponics.

The Savegre river flows by it´s side, Costa Rica´s cleanest river. You can feel it and hear it at a distance and it´s one of the most epic feelings you can experience.

If you haven´t visited Trogón Lodge, I recommend you to go and live the experience. You won´t regret it.
