Casa Luna

(Also in english) (promo) La Fortuna es, y siempre será, uno de los lugares que más disfruto visitar en Costa Rica. Amo el volcán Arenal y su pueblo a las faldas del mismo.

Casa Luna está ubicado en este bello pueblo, a 5 min aprox del centro. Sólo al entrar uno ya sabe que se va a quedar en un lugar increíblemente acogedor, hay verde por todo el campo y es de los hoteles que uno va descubriendo poquito a poquito y siempre se lleva sorpresas.

Me he quedado ya dos veces en el hotel, haciendo fotografía y disfrutando del tiempo que pasa lento para descansar en las piscinas que ofrece el hotel. Ambas veces he ido con grupos de amigos y siempre tenemos una experiencia que, al devolvernos a San José, lo hacemos con una sonrisa. Sólo con el hecho de estar cerca del Volcán y poder moverse en el pueblo con tanta tranquilidad, visitando lugares como El Chollín o la catarata La Fotuna (también realmente cerca del hotel), ya uno está contento.

El hotel cuenta con un restaurante que también cultiva grán parte de lo que sirven y debo decir que la comida es espectacular. Yo no como carne roja, pero igual, a como me dijeron mis amigos, también es deliciosa. ¡Yo me quedo con el pollo empanizado relleno de queso! ¡Ufff, ya me dio demasiada hambre!

Además de tener Spa para los que quieren salir como nuevos, las piscinas son lo más interesante, son pequeños jacuzzi´s para grupos o parejas que quieran un poco más de privacidad, rodeándose de verde con agua más cálida.

ENGLISH: Casa Luna is located in this beautiful town of La Fotuna, aprox 5 minutes from the center. When you come inside the place, you know you’re in for a treat! There’s green all around the campus and beautiful flowers everywhere, it’s one of those places that you have to discover little by little and never stops surprising you.

I have stayed twice at the hotel doing photography and enjoying my time there watching time pass by slowly resting on the swimming pools they have. both times I went, I did with a group of friends and we always have a good time. But you can go with your significant other and it’s totally a place to enjoy in company of your lover. When we come back to San Jose we have smiles on our faces because of the tranquility of the place. Just with the fact that the Arenal Volcano is right there and you can move freely through the small town, visiting El Chollin or the Fortuna Waterfall (also really close to the hotel), you’ll find yourself smiling all the way back.

The hotel also has a restaurant that grows most of what they serve and I must say, their food is amazing! I am not a red meat eater, but my friends are always happy to eat a good old-fashioned steak, I instead, choose the grilled chicken with cheese inside. Daaaaayum, I want one right now!

Besides having a Spa for those who want to come back a new person, the swimming pools are the most interesting. There are Jacuzzi’s surrounded by green and flowers that make it ideal for couples to have privacy in warm water.
